Nowhere as serious as most of my photos would suggest, I just haven’t mastered the art of the smiling selfie. A devoted father of two boys, 21 and 19, both at University, I have a busy and rewarding job that I enjoy, with regular travel. When not working I paint, draw, cook, garden and spend time working on my house in some way, shape or form. I listen to music constantly and am an avid disciple of Spotify. I watch almost everything On-Demand; drama mostly, some food, some comedy. I read a lot, mixing it up between crime fiction, historical, and the American West plus anything else that catches my eye. My three favourite pieces of technology: my Sonos, my Nespresso, my MacBook. My three favourite films: Last of the Mohicans, The Big Short, Shine. My three favourite musicians: Prince, Billy Bragg, Natalie Merchant. A keen golfer come rain, wind or shine but mostly it's the rain and wind. An eternal optimist, constant declutterer and committed list writer who is really not very good at this sort of thing.

I’m looking for someone who will bring out the best in me. And I in you. With shared passions for food and cooking, art, cinema, music, design and gardening. Easy company and someone, like me, who is happier with some form of plan but is not averse to the occasional bout of spontaneity. Someone who enjoys travelling but for whom it’s not the be all and end all. I’m a home boy at heart and I imagine you to be a home girl. I drink rarely and never on my own.
