About him
I have now competed my formal working life, after a successful career as a professional electrical engineer and manager. I do not see myself as 'retired' (as I hate the 'r' word!) - but more as someone who can now pursue business interests which take his fancy.
I am currently in the process of managing the renovation of my house, although this - interior design, furnishing etc. - is certainly not my strong point. However needs must!
I am just as happy living in a small village or a large town, as in the UK, one is usually within reasonable travelling distance of both open countryside and a metropolis. This is useful, as I enjoy both walking for health and all kinds of theatre, including ballet and opera. I also have a passion for good food and wine - only eating it I'm afraid, NOT preparing it!
In addition to walking, I exercise by playing a little golf and by indulging in ballroom and latin american dancing - when I can find a partner that is!
I now have the time and inclination to embark upon what I hope will eventually become a long term, one-to-one, relationship. That is the sole reason why I have joined this site.

I would like to meet a smartly dressed lady in her 60's or 70's, with a view to initially establishing a friendship that would hopefully lead to a long term relationship.
I am certainly not specifically looking for a university graduate but it would be nice if you described yourself as 'intelligent' and took an interest in what is going on in the world around us. It would also be good if you had had a successful and fulfilling career, even though your working life may well have been interrupted by family commitments.
Everyone in our age group travels, so it would be great if you were an intrepid traveller also.
