About her
Never a wallflower, but a very sweet-scented bloom looking to blossom. A man of culture and an artistic streak will hopefully help me flourish.
I am a slim, lively, attractive woman who has a good life with a profession that I enjoyed, a wide circle of friends, but appreciate nights in with a tasty meal, far nicer when cooked with someone else, enjoying good conversation and music. I would like to say, followed by a good film preferably with someone to snuggle up to, but I really prefer going to the cinema to do this,(but not necessarily to snuggle up to there) if worth seeing, preferring local cinemas rather than multiplexes, with their fast food outlets and characterless pubs.
Friends say I am charismatic, with a dry sense of humour. I am outgoing, confident and optimistic, rather than quiet and shy. Although I have mellowed over the years and now appreciate the simpler things of life; gardening, home cooking, and baking, country walks up to about 10 miles on the flat, and not so far if climbing mountains, but the idea of a pint at the end is motivation for that extra mile.
I will always appreciate a hedonistic lifestyle, although this too has become more refined with age and has taken a different path from my youth. I still love weekends away, in small intimate hotels or a country inn, with good company, but especially to more southern climes with a bit of culture thrown in, a fine art gallery, areas of natural beauty or historical interest. I don't think I could ever enjoy Benidorm or Blackpool, Disney, Butlins or an all-inclusive package to Magaluf, but maybe that is because I have not been in the right company.
I do, however, have a few foibles which I hope you will understand; it comes to us all eventually. I do not have the predilection for every sentence ending with "lol", socks with sandals, long fingernails, however clean, regardless of reason given, or a man cuddling either Rover/Fido or his "flash" car.
I do enjoy life, and love to socialise, just with a partner would be the icing on the cake!

Intelligence and wit and not taking themselves too seriously would be ideal, with a love of the outdoors, as long as there are no socks with sandals!!
What I miss most is being able to do things on impulse, waking up together looking out of the window at the day ahead and just going somewhere.
Never as much fun on my own, and with a friend requires forward planning.
I miss just staying in, cooking together, or just a night in without having to say anything of significance. being comfortable with each other in silence.
