About him
I am active, compassionate, understanding, strong in character, long time studier of the human race. I try to follow the viewpoint of the Dalai Lama, who, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man. Because man sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived."
I love film, humour, music, visiting NT buildings, conversation, cooking, Oh the list goes on....however my current challenge is setting up a small business Park to help new entreprenures to grow our economy.
But Ladies, what are you looking for?
Chemistry? Maybe. When we were younger that was the major element in any real attraction. Actually in those days it was more like pure lust. But lust no longer applies in the last Chapter of our lives. Chemistry, yes. Now we should look for additional values. Companionship, understanding, compassion, a shared love of the more rewarding aspects of life and what it has to offer.
So while I enjoy spending time visiting new NT places and the like, my focus is on keeping our planet safe to live on for us and our children. I have not retired. If you find that concept appealing in a partner then please contact me.

A lady who is open-minded, caring, loyal, feminine, willing to travel. having intersts of her own, an understanding of what love is, perhaps a follower of the "Road Less Travelled" by Scott Peck. Hopefully a gardener too as I am overhaulling my garden right now!
Also an interest in the world today and a desire to help improve it.

I met Colin many years ago in London- he was a close friend of one of my then fiancé's friends. He struck me as a very dynamic guy,very cosmopolitan with international work connections between Europe and the States.
I left Uk and did not see Colin for a long while until l returned this year. Wow:time seems not to have passed by for him! He is 25 years my senior but he is as energetic and sharp as l remembered him: he is a Volcano, full of ideas and projects,working on 3 different planes this time- from Europe to China- and to me he seems the son of many men his age!

Since I have known Colin since 1988, I was quite willing to share a few words regarding your prospective date! He is quite the terrific guy! I had initially thought of some things I might include in this, but that was before I read his profile. He is SO spot on in his description of who he is, his interests, but moreover, his philosophy. I loved his reference to the quote from the Dalai Lama. I believe he takes that as a credo by which he lives. He believes in the "Power of Now", enjoying the moment, not regretting the past, nor fearing for the future. He works hard, but enjoys his leisure to the max. He would like to find someone with whom he can share it. He has many friends around the world. He has always been very involved with his family, despite the distances between them.
Colin is a great conversationalist and can speak at length on just about anything! That does not prevent him from being an equally good listener. He is willing to contribute ideas to the extent they are welcome, without being pushy. He's looking for parity in a relationship. But overall it must be based on trust and honesty. This is one of Colin's greatest attributes. (In other words, Ladies, post a CURRENT photo...haha!)
Colin has travelled all over the world and has had some wonderful experiences, yet he's not one to go one regaling you with this or that story of way back when....but if you ask...you will enjoy the adventure.
Since I live in Alabama, I don't see him very often, now that he has permanently moved back to the UK, but I have always treasured his friendship and always will. Good Luck!
