I am easy going, independent, sociable, intelligent and pretty. I enjoy books, good food (I am a self-confessed food-snob), theater, the arts and the good conversation. I have a dry and irreverent sense of humor. I think, I don't take myself too seriously and am more than happy to make a joke at my own expense. I do and have done a lot of sport (I believe in healthy body, healthy mind), but I am not a fan of watching it. If you are a football fan, I am not sure how well matched we would be. I like, in no particular order: books, book shops, more books, learning foreign languages, slow-brewed coffee, wood fires, functional antiques, some quirky art, classical music, going to the gym, nice clothes and shoes, opera, dogs, generosity, antique markets, city breaks, long chats, finding little presents, art galleries, farmer's markets, France and Italy, European movies, tortoises, playing tennis, live comedy, jazz, radio 4, La Maison du chocolat, seasonal fruit, my job.
I dislike, in no particular order: gossip magazines, tattoos, body piercing, beer, reality TV, junk food, mind games, winging, men who spend more time in front of a mirror than I do, lack of empathy, blue cheese, trainers worn as everyday shoes, selfishness , people who spend too much time on social network websites, smoking.

Primarily, I hope to find someone who is intelligent, funny and secure. I really am looking for a nice, gentlemanly, educated and sporty man who knows primarily how to be grown-up and independent, I get on best with middling extroverts who are highly ambitious and realistic.
It's always great to share some common interests (as well as having your own things you like doing independently, and those things that you can introduce to each other, share and learn from/with each other). I need to find them physically attractive and ideally it would be great to meet someone who likes adventure but also home comfort.
But the best things in life often catch us by surprise. So I can easily imagine falling for someone who doesn't match everything on my list.
I'm at a stage where I'm not interested in games.
