Omigosh this is the really difficult bit.
I suppose I could be really predictable and say that I am "nice, kind and love fluffy animals", but that really is boring so lets be a bit "off message" and start with three classic words.
Coffee, running, travel.
Coffee - a drug of choice and nothing is nicer than working or socialising in a coffee shop. There are so many now and it is great fun to find an independent and enjoy. Still with drinking I don't mind bars; not keen on pubs.
Running - ah - my other drug of choice. Having gone from only being able to run a few k's on a running machine to several half marathons and a full one recently, I am now totally hooked. And one coming up. Insane ? Well maybe.
Travel - another passion. Give me a plane ticket and Lonely Planet guide and I'm happy. I work on the basis that you get one shot at life so make the most of it.
And I have been very fortunate. Life on the whole has been good with just a few not so good times but I don't think I am any different from the rest of the population. What I am getting to dislike is meals on my own, cinema and theatre on my own and other events, yes you've guessed it, on my own. That's not to say I am not happy in my own skin - I am - but it would be nice to have some company occasionally.
As for internet dating. Well wouldn't it be nice for the room to go silent and eyes meet across a crowded space. The trouble is at my age, there is a fair chance I would have forgotten my glasses !

Well if you are on this site, it stands to reason that you are bound to be articulate, intelligent and have a knowledge of life, the world and the universe. That's a good start. As for the rest - who knows. I certainly don't.
