About him
I am a healthy 69 year old (Mar '20) with a sense of humour and mix well in any company, latching on to any topic of conversation. I think my friends would class me as cultured, unless they saw some of the antics I got up to in my younger days! I love the countryside, good food and trying wines. I (try) to sing and am a member of various choirs and like any good quality music. I find pleasure in simple things as well as the more sophisticated.
I have been self-employed most of my working life and am winding down now with the aim of full retirement next year. I still have one venture I am developing with my Son-in-Law which should keep the slippers from my feet for a while!
I think I would be described as sensitive and like hearing about other peoples' lives if they carry some element of interest; watching East Enders would not qualify!
I take care over my appearance but if you are seeking a fashion statement you would be disappointed.
I love female company, especially being in the presence (and even better with) a woman with poise who is not overdressed and carries herself well. I love the difference in men and women and there is nothing as strong as a bond between the two.
I don't think I have any hang-ups and am very light on "baggage". I love having fun and particularly sharing this with someone else special.
I have just updated my photographs to show me now (August '20) to include Covid 19 man with the long hair and after I was sheared!
I have two daughters and the elder one made me a Grandfather in January '20. My Grandson is a happy little chappy and we have some really good conversations although I'm not sure he has quite got the measure of the Stock Market yet!

I love sensitive, soft, sensual women who can see the funny side of things. I would hope she would also get pleasure from the simple things (including me!), a sea view, open country, a flower, the shape of a cloud, the sound of the cork coming out of a wine bottle etc. Believe it or not I am not perfect! I would respect someone who can bring my shortcomings to my notice in a nice and non-aggressive way. I'm active but do like to relax and be without pressure also, so an overactive, pressing companion would not last long! Honesty and modesty are important and I never mind good-natured ribbing. You might have to take some back though!
