I like the simple things in life but wouldn't say no to a bit of extravagance now and then. I am a caring person who tends to put others first. I have been single now for several years and would like to take the leap and start dating again to see where it takes me. I am very independent and strong minded yet I feel there is always room for that special person to make life that bit more special. I am looking for someone who genuinely feels the same and is not just looking for a bit fun...if you get my drift?! Honesty must prevail so that our precious time is not wasted on fantasising. I enjoy the countryside and the coast, dining in or out with friends and family, exploring the history of places of interest, walking, the odd glass of vino and good company, to have a bit of banter and a laugh......that's is imperative. I take every day as it comes, however I often dream about moving to Orkney or somewhere similar to live a simple yet fulfilling life within a friendly and supportive community.....out of the rat race basically!

My ideal match would be someone who shares the same outlook on life without making it complicated. Someone who is happy to leave the baggage behind and move on. Someone who likes the simple things in life. I do like a 'real' man who is heavily built and doesn't pluck his eyebrows! A man who works hard but makes time for his partner.
