About him
I am self-employed with a rewarding career based in therapy and am also a writer with a publishing deal with a large publishing house. Activities that I enjoy a great deal include running, cycling, playing tennis, writing (1000 words everyday!), reading, playing guitar, watching films from different parts of the world, pubs, food and cooking.
I like going to music festivals and am keen on Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Bowie, Prince and Johnny Guitar Watson, but will listen to pretty much any artist (maybe not the Spice Girls!).
Getting out into the countryside is great; I really enjoy off road cycling and visiting hidden pubs along canals and discovering lesser known trails.
I have a good sense of humour and like listening; compassion is another characteristic which I think is important and something that I try to incorporate in daily life.

I don't have an ideal match in terms of looks or character; someone who is kind, considerate and knows who they are would be a good starting point.
A person who believes that relationships take time to grow and nurture; something that is often lacking in our 'instant' culture.
Also a good sense of humour and curiosity about life would be great.
