About him
I'm an intelligent, motivated but big hearted guy who's hoping there might just be someone special out there who could be my best friend and a lot more - someone with whom we could make a much better go of our lives together than we could separately. Whilst pretty determined, I'm driven by creativity, bringing enjoyment to other people and a sense of what is right rather than the desire to accumulate a load of money, fame or self satisfaction. Always try to be honest - kind of have to as I'm a rubbish liar - and hate hurting other people. Often feel like my life is full of contradictions... real age 64, told I look more like 55, love the quiet of the country but equally love modern music and have been known to rock out... am seriously considering a trip to Ibiza soon. A pretty passionate man (I think I have some Latino blood in me somewhere), but very much think you girls are to be loved and respected; and whilst a bit rugged on the outside, inside I'm definitely a something of a softy who's looking for someone to share things with. Having never done the being conventional & suburban/getting married/having kids thing still think much as I did in my twenties/thirties, but hopefully a little wiser. Love being outdoors whether it's in the hills or by the sea, although I enjoy going to town for entertainment etc. I'm quite a country boy at heart, now have a croft and will be farming some sheep soon. Like cooking and most things to do with food and dining (ideally with some good wine - though not to excess), being with friends and good craic. Friends tell me I'm kind, reliable, hard working, sometimes a bit cheeky and not bad looking in my own sort of way.... and need a good woman!!!

Someone with a big heart, principles, a lot of passion (oooer!) a sharp mind and knows how to use them all constructively in a relationship. Someone who rather than just wanting to be married is looking for a true friend, undersatnds that relationships are about sharing and who has that special ability to communicate all the important things - that certain chemistry is vitally important. I'm not afraid of someone who's a bit of a character and knows their own mind, I think it's good to challenge each other sometimes (in a positve way). Also, since my Cumbrian farming friends are always telling me to speak my mind, I am a bit of a fan of curvy hips, so real women only please, size 0 supermodels probably need not apply. It would be nice if you're fairly fit and like the country/being outdoors, 'coz I'm not a couch potato (although cuddles on the sofa are very important :-) ) ...... but don't worry if you're not an Olympic athlete. All the other minor stuff in life I'm kind of easy about, so if you insist on everything being pink or breed armadillos, that won't be an insurmountable problem, a lot of the joy of a relationship is spending time discovering each other's interests. Oh, and it would be useful if you like fireworks too ;-) .
