About him
I am a sensitive soul who is open minded and easy going, kind and patient, tactile and sharing. I see both sides, or the funny side, of most things.
A friend recently said they saw me as a thoughtful man who is a keen and good communicator; someone strong, thoughtful, deep and wise; a complex and equal being, both strong and fragile, visionary and vulnerable. People have told me other things too(!), but that one is my clear favourite.
I have a passionate curiosity about most things. I have a driving need to find out what 'makes the clock tick', and what makes you (and myself) tick. I live in a state of wonder at how we have developed, how the universe was formed, and what links there may or may not be to other types of existence, and all the bits in between. I feel I am on a lifelong quest to know myself; I want to get to the end with an active bucket list: I never want to run out of ideas or become self satisfied. I have a deep desire to live in the ‘Now’, but don't find it easy.
My creativity manifests in the making of photographs, listening to music or going to the theatre, and in a desire to improve my environment; I like to improve things and this feeling finds outlet in technical, philosphical and artistic ways, often with many in progress at any one time.
My wanderlust is still active, but I like to include plenty of time for relaxation, which I am also particularly good at.
I like to think I am an autonomous being, accountable to no-one but myself, but totally responsible for the consequences of my decisions and actions. There have been many mistakes and mishaps over the decades, and I accept my role in owning them. I am constantly reflecting and learning. I have an optimism and persistence that keeps me going and I like to follow through, but am fully capable of changing tack if a situation requires it.

Who do I think I want - It’s difficult, isn’t it? I think I can only answer in one word – Balanced. You and I, in my perfect world, will be different, but have congruent core beliefs. Our wisdom and experiences will not be the same, but they will have an equivalence, and we will always know we are equals. We will not be mirror image of each other, but we will be equally attracted to each other: physically, intellectually, emotionally, intimately. I am looking for you so we can swim together on a parallel course, sometimes entwined closely together, sometimes holding hands, collaborating on overcoming the current, or else meandering in different lagoons along the way to share experiences later. I like to listen to you, and to explore a variety of experiences in life with you. There will be a mix of things we adore sharing, and things which are more individual. We will have a respect, honesty, generosity and trust that flow the same amounts in both directions. We will be two people who, when one smiles, the other can’t help smiling too. We will exist in a shared world of co-creativity, where the sum of our lives is much greater than the two added individually, never growing old together - simply staying young together. Where do I think I want to be in 3, 6 and 12 months, and in 5 and 10 years? This will depend on who and where you are!
