Why should you get to know me?
Well, because I might just be the person you're looking for, and you might be the same for me! As my last partner said, "She'll be a very lucky lady", .....but's that's a story for another time, perhaps. I don't want to make my pitch here because it's really not the place, Anyway, I'm far too dignified and modest for that. I'll let my intelligence, wit and charm, not to mention my adorable looks do that for me. You're out there somewhere and I'll know it when I meet you. Now, is it you?
If nothing else I am a genuine person with a fair sense of humour and I do like to dress properly.
After 34 years with my company I took an opportunity I would have been mad to refuse, so I took it and sort of retired! My life and time is now my own and it's time to smell the roses. I will.

P.S. Having received messages from some lovely ladies, it is only fair to tell you I am currently and for the foreseeable future, the sole, full time carer to my 89 year old father, which is challenging, but more importantly it means my ability to participate in a relationship is limited. My apologies if I have not replied to your message but for now I am unable to respond more positively. Thanks.
P.P.S. I wrote the above six years ago when I was 62 and my dad was 89. Six years on, at 68 and 95 respectively, I must be doing something right as he is well, happy and motivated. My main profile picture was taken Jan 2023 so you can see that looking after him hasn't worn me out completely. Yet!

To be honest, I'm not sure I have an "ideal" but I'm open to gentle persuasion! I have learnt to expect the unexpected, and that applies equally to relationships and about every other aspect of life. You just never know. That's the essence of life is it not?
