Chemistry is key, and it's either there or it isn't.
My wish list: A taller (5'10ish min), younger, professional guy with his own home, who doesn't have pets, obvious body art, or piercings. Baggage is fine, we've all got some, so if you claim no baggage, and/or to be easy going etc., we're unlikely to be a match.
I'm accomplished, intelligent and interesting, with a youthful demeanour, and I need similar in a guy, please. And a little younger is my preference, and certainly no older (no point pretending). I work for myself from home, which among other things involves trawling the internet and analysing a broad range of things, so I spend a fair bit of time at my computer. I don't have hobbies as such, I enjoy a walk, love fresh air, but am not overly into fitness. I tend toward the serious, but I also have a silly side and a whacky sense of humour. I don't cook (beyond basic dishes), as I don't enjoy it, but I eat pretty healthily. I don't especially like shopping. I watch some TV, but days can go by without my switching it on. I'm not on Facebook. I enjoy reading and writing (have penned a few things).
I'm unconventional as life dealt me different cards, and thus a man who is looking for a twozy set-up with shared mealtimes, etc, is not for me. I'm utterly loyal and monogamous and would want the same but I've lived on my own for far more years than I've lived with a man, so a live-in arrangement, while I wouldn't rule it out entirely, is not an obvious fit. So I need someone different: Someone accomplished, discerning, honest and intelligent who's also good in the the sack would be great :) And who has also lived on his own for a while, and is not fresh out of a relationship.
Please also note that while I don't doctor or enhance my photos, my wrinkles don't seem to show, but I do have some. I keep my weight around 9' 6lbs (132 pounds).
Lastly, at the right time, I would want to know a guy is free of any STIs before we jumped into bed. It takes ten minutes to get a check.

I'm attracted to men who are accomplished and intelligent and who have an edge. My Mr Hopefully Long-Term is unlikely to have a regular type of job. He will more likely consider himself different, unconventional, hard to put in a mould.
Turnoffs for me, in no particular order:
I move swiftly on when I see a photo of a guy:
a) holding a fish (What's that all about? "Thelma, I'm home" lol)
b) half-dressed or sloppily dressed
c) eating
Also, if your profile is largely blank and/or contains lines such as 'anything you want to know just ask' please pass me by. If you cannot be bothered or are unable to write a few sensible and intelligent sentences about yourself, I am not interested in engaging with you. The same goes for profiles without photos, or with photos that are clearly old and not a genuine reflection of how you look now. My photos are recent, main one taken Jan 2021.
Poor grammar and punctuation is a turn off for me. We all make mistakes and can write haphazardly, so to speak, when in a rush, but if you cannot string a sentence together (unless there's a good reason, e.g. you're dyslexic) we would not be a match. In a similar vein, the following do not constitute a message, lol.
