About him
I genuinely don't know why anyone should get to know me now at this late age, except to say I've been told by friends, colleagues and students that I am a nice person with a pretty good sense of humour (well, I can make my students laugh!). Ex-BBC film & TV producer/director, widely travelled. Love my new career as a full-time university academic mentoring new generation of award-winning students. So have no plans to retire to that beach hut soon. Still plan to vacation till I can no longer travel though, and also try and get back into sailing after a long break.
Something few people know: I've danced with a Best Actress Oscar Winner and been to the Arctic
Passions/interests: Live music, opera, theatre, art and, of course, film. SB, Barbican, ROH and ENO regular.
I can cook reasonably (some say well). Love making Lebanese and Caribbean food. Also dance reasonably (some say well).
