About her
I am sociable but also independent; optimistic but cautious; adaptable but grounded. Like most people, full of contradictions. I am excited by new places, new people and new knowledge. The mutual support and exchange of a relationship has given me great pleasure for much of my life so I hope to experience that again. Meanwhile I have a wide circle of friends – fortunately some are local, a fulfilling second career as a freelance art historian, and a comfortable life near Hampstead Heath. For me attraction is an unpredictable mix of the familiar and the exotic, so often prompted by tone of voice, a gesture, a look. Of course, none of that can be satisfactorily expressed in a profile. I would be surprised if I could spend a lot of time with someone who doesn't have a zest for life and curiosity. A love of words, travel, art and animals would be a bonus.
