I have absolutely no idea why anyone would like to get to know me! .
Why would any sane person want to know me? Idle curiosity. Inquisitive mind. Sense of adventure. Or perhaps because that's what we are on here for I think. I am also mainly harmless. What could possibly go wrong?

Sentient, kind to dumb animals and confused males. Sense of adventure, enquiring mind. Knows when to laugh, when to not laugh and when to duck.
Patient, tolerant, kind, fun, intelligent, independent, available. That would probably do for a good starting point. Rest is negotiable I guess.
Seriously; I've enjoyed my career and living in London but have now returned to my roots. Happily divorced I'm content with my own company but would like to have someone to share things with. Some things are just so much better when done as a couple - arguing for instance.
Have my own house, car, motor bike, bicycle and some teeth. Would like a partner but think I have high standards. Goodness knows why as I'm no oil painting. If I were a car I would be labelled 'dents and scratches all round'.
Enjoy hill walking, occasionally actually reaching the correct destination. Dabble in photography but not sure how successful I am. Enjoy gardening and can indulge in basic cooking.
I'm probably not as fit as I pretend to be but have been known to shuffle into a gym. Occasionally cycle around the lovely Angus countryside. Thank goodness for well spaced hostelries.
Enjoy watching some sport without being obsessive. Live rugby still excites me. Watching Scotland worries me.
I think I'm gentle, kind, patient and tolerant but I suppose most psychopathic megalomaniacs would describe themselves similarly. You could take me home to meet your mum, kids and/or dog without major embarrassment
Think this raises one of the remaining unsolved philosophical questions of the modern age - does compatibility require exactly the same interests, some interests with an interest/acceptance of the partner's interests or is it more about a common take on life. I don't really know.
As long as you aren't into bungee jumping, extreme knitting, tattooing or breeding ferrets I think there could be some hope for an interesting chat to see whether there were any hope for a faint spark of something.
