About her
Thank you for looking at my profile. Having reached this stage of my life, I want to keep wondering what is around the corner, whilst at the same time expanding my mind and my life and also taking time to stop, breathe and enjoy the moment and have fun. For me, there is always room for "what's next?" and little room for "what if?".
I have had my ups and downs. I have had love and I have had incredible hurt, but I still think that there is someone out there who would like to share that next phase with someone else, not just on their own and isn't yet ready to put on their slippers. That is really quite scary. We are all a bit vulnerable and I acknowledge that you have to be brave to be here. All I can say is that I am prepared to have a go at everything and anything which isn't stupid or life threatening. Happy to be pushed out of my comfort zone. I have had a great career, which takes me all over the world and I love it. Covid has delayed my retirement plans so stuck in the Far East for a further year until life returns to normal. Not that I am complaining as it is an incredible life. I have made so many diverse friends. I love the arts as much as rugby 7s or sailing, enjoy travelling and meeting people but can also get a kick out of gardening and decorating. Not much I can't put my hand too. I have experienced 5 star, B&B's and camping and they all have something to recommend them.
My favourite past time ? Dancing! It always brings a smile to my face. So I need someone in my life who actually has a sense of rhythm. Also enjoy sailing and skiing. Was a PE teacher in another life so can put my hand to most sports even golf. Love a rainy Sunday with the papers and a good cup of coffee or wine. I also really like to keep up with what is going on with the world and to discuss it without getting too serious about it. Not religious or into politics other than to observe it and have the occasional chuckle about why anyone would want to be an MP or on the local council!

Relationships should be equal in every way with mutual respect and living in the present not the past. I am looking for someone who likes themselves, is grounded and can take life on the chin and move on; who loves current affairs but is not dogmatic; can see the funny side of even the most dire political situation, doesn't belittle people for their imperfections and works at being a decent human. Fun, forward looking, caring, not entrenched in their ways and can relax. I would like a person who likes themselves, their family and their world in general and celebrates life. Sees the good rather than the bad in people but above all else, wants to smile. I need someone that would get a kick out of me being successful and loves the fact that I want to take that attitude of life into retirement. I am not exhausting but neither am I exhausted (yet).
