About her
I'm a psychologist - 'self-employed' is so vague! - and a widow, with three lovely sons. Although I've got a grown up job, and indeed a grown up family, I still feel in many ways like a girl, and 'irreverent', 'fun' and 'youthful' are all words my friends came up with for me. But I also have an attentive, thoughtful, rather analytical side. Obviously I'm 'interested in people', given my job - and in fact my previous job, in qualitative research (exploring motivations via focus groups and depth interviews). I love literature and the theatre, as well as the other arts; music moves me hugely. I'm interested in the 'School of Life' fields of philosophy/psychology/spirituality - and in current affairs. I'm a keen walker, daily on Hampstead Heath when in London, but also further afield - countryside, hills and sea. I go frequently to France and Italy, but love other parts of Europe too, and have recently, for specific reasons, ventured to China and New Zealand, and had great times.... but I miss being part of a couple, both at home and when travelling. Ceroc dancing is a fairly recent passion - and I love music generally, from rock to requiems. I'd say I was quite a sensual and physically demonstrative person. My sons have all grown up to be affectionate huggers, which pleases me.

I'm keen not to be too prescriptive, but I'd hope a partner would be curious, open-minded, intelligent, and active. Someone I could discuss anything with, from the micro to the macro, and who is capable of irreverence. I guess nearly everyone says this, but sharing culture, travel, the outdoors, and home time too are all important. I like cooking (risotto a favourite), eating and drinking. I think I'd find it hard to have a relationship with someone who never read a book. In this new and potentially exciting empty-nest phase of life, I'd be very open to being introduced to different interests/places/passions, Generous, mutual physical affection is important. Sulking and touchiness are big turn-offs, and I'd like to be able to put any subject on the table.
