Friends have described me as warm, kind and with a nice smile. I like to be inclusive and make people feel welcome. Whilst I am a sociable person and enjoy meeting people, I also have a quiet or serious side, I like a balance between the two.
Socially, I like going out to eat, or to the pub to chat and I enjoy live music, whether a rock group in a pub, or at a classical concert, my tastes are wide ranging. I enjoy all the arts have to offer and have a particular love of ballet (the music and dancing is beautiful). To keep fit I enjoy pilates (and just starting yoga!), some cycling, swimming, and sport as a spectator. I love history and enjoy visiting places of historical or architectural interest. I enjoy politics/current affairs, and follow world events. I have always wanted to be able to converse in another language (beyond rudimentary Spanish and French) and because of family connections, I decided to learn German. I don't think for a minute I will ever be fluent but I am actually enjoying the process of learning !The main photo was retaken in May this year.

I would like to meet someone who is outgoing, good conversation and we can laugh together. I enjoy travelling and visiting interesting places, all the normal things really, but so much nicer with someone to share things with. Spending time together either in cooking a meal and watching a film together, or out and about would be lovely. I don't advocate living in each others pockets, as I think time to follow your own interests is important to growth and keeping the spark. But I'm afraid if you want someone to climb mountains with, ski down them or go on sailing trips (I'm not a good sailor!) then I am not for you !!
