Today was the perfect day to walk around the lake, the sun was shining down on Wales and the estuary on the journey home was stunning. The best place to live.
I love life and learning, adore my grown up children who live in London. This lockdown has hugely impacted on my time with them. I have a very small but much loved family and the kindest of friends. I am truthful, reliable generous and kind. My friends and family have my unwavering fidelity.
I dislike arrogance and rudeness. I value kindness, courtesy, and an intelligent sense of humour. I admire intelligence and knowledge especially a curiosity about the world and different people and cultures. Studying history expanded my knowledge of and past and present events.
I love reading. Cultural events and theatre, getting dressed for a fine occasion (when allowed) but not to the exclusion of the simple pleasures in life.

It sometimes takes an event/year like this for us to realise that although we feel independent and strong, when family are far away we need more than zoom calls or the supermarket cashier to chat to! Life is precious and fragile and we need to make the most of every day. Is it possible to find a caring and intelligent gentleman who is not staid or stiff. Someone who still gets fun out of life but also takes serious things seriously. Is interested in deep conversations but also frivolous laughter. Enjoys culture, reading and theatre but down to earth simple things too.
