I look younger than my years. I have good friends who value me.
Music is important to me - many genres. I love singing in a small choir. I like cooking for people, and entertaining at home - also eating out is a huge pleasure. I like kindness and compassion and humour; I dislike narrow-mindedness, loud voices, violence or cruelty of any sort. I love France and have recently relocated there. I also love summer and sunshine; I would like to hibernate in the winter, if it weren't for Christmas.
I am incurably romantic, love slushy films and happy endings - and keep looking for mine. A few times in my life I thought I'd found it, but they weren't the forever ones I hoped for. But they were still (mostly) good times and I'm grateful for them.
I have a hopeful outlook on life. I can function OK on my own though I'm not very practical - but I am so much better sharing life's experiences with another, it lifts my soul.
About her ideal match
I don't have an ideal match. I've lived long enough and had enough life and relationship experience to know that it can always be a surprise. Only three things really: taller than me, a non-smoker, and financially stable.
I look for open-mindedness, intelligence, a witty sense of humour, generosity of spirit, loyalty, honesty, kindness, and a sense of fun and spontaneity.
Someone who would like to pamper me a little and love me a lot - I've been missing those things very much. You'll get it back in spades. Someone who has his own interests as well as sharing some of mine, who is independent and doesn't need looking after.
I'd love to travel with you, cook with you, play scrabble or bridge with you, make (or listen to) music with you, share the exciting and dull times with you equally.
Smoking or drugs would be a deal breaker. And any kind of violence. Financial irresponsibility would be difficult. Though if everything else is right, there aren't many deal breakers that couldn't be overcome with goodwill and communication.
