About her
Poet William Cowper wrote “Variety is the very spice of life, that gives it all its flavour.” Familiarity and spontaneity describe my life with people always sitting centre stage - what's life without sharing and caring?
I am intelligent, well-travelled, cultured, open minded, romantic and tactile, kind and joyful; excited by life, love and romance.
Having left behind a career in the world of City corporate mayhem, I now enjoy spending time with old friends and new; I have a broad love of music, theatre and film, antique 'hunting' (sometimes buying!), all-weather walking, relaxing in a cosy pub, just meeting for a coffee or sharing fine dining in a beautiful setting - I can dress up and dress down all on the same day! I simply like being at ease with people and am told I am easy to get along with.
Then there's travelling; in my time, I've stood aloft Ayres Rock, trekked the pathways of the Grand Canyon, absorbed the panoramic night vista of Hong Kong, enjoyed the cuisine of Singapore and admired the beauty of Bali. Nearer to home, France and Italy are still favourite destinations!
At home where my heart resides, I am an accomplished cook who enjoys entertaining but also like a TV dinner, a good book with a coffee, a glass of wine whilst playing music or a snuggle up with someone special. I am known for my interior design often with a project in hand for myself or friends and of late I have taken up photography and French (again!) – that well-known combination?!
I am passionate about fitness and well-being! Shona Virtue's philosophy of shaping our physique, motivating our minds whilst having fun is part of my everyday. I train several times a week enjoying my fitness with an attitude of "age is just a number" and an ethos of "if something is worth doing then give it full attention and do it well!"
This year I brought together my passion for music with fitness, taking up Latin dance. I Salsa - ok, work in progress - and I'd love to dance more having realised, however, that it's no fun to dance on your own!

I’m looking for a kindred spirit to share my time, my space and some of my interests. Someone with integrity and mutual respect for what is important to each other; to share and care but to be independent and trusting in our individuality without feelings of insecurity. I guess I am saying, not to stifle each other’s interests and qualities but rather to breadth in fresh air, together.
We all have a past which makes us who we are today. We all, also, have a common desire to find that very unique and unanswerable pull of attraction, mutual appreciation and understanding; there's nothing quite like that glancing smile, a knowing look, touch of a hand or spontaneous moment of private laughter when we are seemingly lost in a crowd - that is chemistry!

It takes a willingness to look beyond our 'tick list' and to challenge our expectations starting with that innocent on-line dating message or one-liner that leads to a meeting that takes us on our road of discovery.
I'm not expecting you to like everything that I like nor to conveniently live locally to me (if you do, then that's great!) but I am hoping that we can take each other into our 'everyday' and entice each other into our individual worlds of interests and passions whilst sharing a genuineness of heart to care and to know how to show it. Humour is important; if all else fails then to laugh at life and ourselves often seems a great antidote for rising to its challenges and idiosyncrasies!
