About him
Hopefully seen as easy going, a bit too laid back at times, but friendly, welcoming, courteous and even fairly generous but can be diffident, cautious and reserved at first encounters, however in the right company is well able to blossom. I live in the countrysidev and appreciate the beauty and quietnessses and be aware of the changing moods of day and season. I like good company with good food and good conversations or a compatible companion to share time to sit quietly or be active in mutual interests. Bad manners, the inconsideration of others and intolerance are what upsets orirritates me most .I live to a modest routine and am self sufficient with cooking, shopping, laundry and ironing. I like walking, gardening, reading and driving, all of which let me relax but visiting historic sites, art galleries and museums give me activity.The Mediterranean region interests me but especially Greece which I visit frequently. I am relatively fit, but at 83 my time to be active is limited now, but I need to make the most of the time left. So to still travel and widen my horizons is yet a priority. While there is life to live, one has to take opportunities and enjoy the days while, given the right place, time and company, sitting and watching the world go by is also fun...but again, always, a companion to travel...not as nurse or carer but to share the experiences.

A lady secure in her own independence, yet hoping hoping to meet a caring and relvatively well mannered gentleman with the hope of companionship developing into an affectionate friendship...and beyond to whatever lies in a future. A relationship based on mutual respect, honest and trusting, to be together as equals, without one trying to dominate the other, a mutual caring and toleration of those little personal foibles and where the individualities and independence of one another are recognised on equal terms. Age is against me for the probability of a long term relationship but, while I am still mobile and able, I will be active. So I look for a lady to walk with me...hills, forests or just the park...meet for a coffee, dine out, drive to places of interest, concerts, theatre...just be able enjoy doing such things together...and a hope of her company for travel to more distant climes and places. The ability to share in the interests and hobbies of one another and make allowances if needs be. I hope there would be trust and tolerance between us, a respect for one another’s individualities and independence; perception and appreciation can be so much enhanced where there is a companion to share, to discuss, to beg to differ, to reach amiable conclusions and still remain oneself. Comfort and pleasure for both of us out of a relationship of course but hopefully not in volving the high glamour locations and luxury spas and cruise ships...well,might consider it once (or twice)!
My hopes will wither and die in the face of arrogance and a sense of superiority, self-centredness and a lack of respect for others...and if you were to chew with your mouth open...! But then of course My Lady would not!
