Adjectives might be: on a good day - warm, supportive, positive, curious, enthusiastic -- even if things are not going well I can usually get pleasure from little things like autumn trees, an interesting painting, a friend's dog running in circles. I have a wide but somewhat eclectic knowledge and have always been moderately good at most things and not brilliant at anything -which is annoying. I like art, love history and exploring the bits of London I didn't find while working there. Music is not a big thing in my life though I am more than happy to go to concerts or opera for the experience. I have travelled to several countries in Central Asia and to North West China following the Silk Roads. At home I volunteer in the library and am involved in local heritage organisations. I also like ebay far too much and my exercise bike not enough though if I look at ebay while on the bike maybe that's the answer.

You will be curious and interested in a wide range of things, probably do crosswords, which sadly I can't, like walking not hiking, enjoy art, exhibitions, theatre and cinema but also nights in with a take away and documentaries on the TV. You will be able to laugh at yourself and see the funny side of life. There are lots of other qualities I would like but I am not looking for a life partner now, just people to go out and about with. I don't mind at all if you have views I disagree with - that makes for lively discussion.
