About him
I have a lively mind and generous nature. I love conversation and like an intelligent debate. I’m a caring man. People say I’m easy to get along with and sometimes too kind for my own good. I always search for the best in people I meet. I do lots of diy and play tennis every week. I love to cook and enjoy gardening.
Please note I have a wife who has end stage Alzheimer’s disease. She is virtually unconscious most of the time and requires 24 hour professional care delivered by careers in our home. She is bed bound and totally dependent on the care she receives. At the start of her illness 10 years ago we discussed the future and she insisted that I wasn’t to wait for her to die before I sought companionship. Nothing could have prepared me for the isolation her illness has brought me and only recently have I decided to search for someone. I say this here, up front, because I don’t want to waste anyone’s time or hurt their feelings.

I’m looking for an independently minded, intelligent woman. She must be kind and supportive but not overly submissive. I like a feisty personality.
Someone to share experiences and activities. I like to travel and enjoy tennis so someone who shares these interests would be great. However I’m open to new interests and hobbies too.
As well as being interested in science I enjoy art, literature and the theatre. I’m mad about hifi and love music. So I would like to meet someone who shared some those interests too.
I’m a GP so someone with a medical background would be nice but not anyway essential.
