About her
Originally from Surrey now living in the beautiful Holme Valley, West Yorkshire. I relocated to my forever home 3 weeks before Covid hit in 2020 so still discovering all that this fabulous county has to offer.
I’m a creatively visual person with a good sense of humour, who enjoys good conversation. I like socialising and alone time in equal measures.
I have two dogs and have loved exploring the local countryside on foot however the hills have taken some getting used to! Down South we call these mountains!
Having lived in Holland and Germany I have a soft spot for Europe, favourite places are Italy & France. Another place I have visited often is Morocco but there is still so much of the UK that I would also love to see. I have family in USA so I get my long haul kicks visiting them . I think long weekends and odd nights away can be as much fun as a two week holiday. I love to plan breaks away , finding interesting places to stay and visit.
I like going to the cinema, theatre and galleries , and really enjoy films and dramas on TV in a foreign language with subtitles . I enjoy cooking ,eating out , coffee, tea and cake, farm shops, gastro pubs wine and gin. I prefer to shop in independent shops and I’m passionate about supporting local businesses. I love chocolate and marmite but not at the same time!
I’m happiest pottering in the garden ,eating meals outside in the sun or spending time deep in conversation till the small hours , the proverbial open fires and laughing till it hurts with friends old and new.
My 3 children are now in their late 20’s and mid 30’s (2 in the USA and 1 in London) and living independent lives , I would like yours if you have them, to be doing the same.
My guilty pleasures are listening to The Archers and occasional swooning over Monty Don and Richard E Grant. I think it’s best to come clean about these from the start :))

I am looking to meet a companion to share many aspects of our lives whilst maintaining our independence and own homes.
I have been married twice , once for over 20 years to the father of my children, we have remained friends and had a very amicable split. My second marriage was short ! and ended over 4 years ago now. I am not looking to marry a third time - that would just be greedy :))) I strongly believe life is for living and things happen for a reason, you can influence your future but not your past.
Ideally you would be in a similar position to myself with any children now independent.
If you were fairly local that would be amazing as I don’t know this area very well yet and it would be nice to get to know it better with someone to explore with.
I don’t have any preconceived ideas about who I would like to meet or what I want to happen , Im a firm believer in fate, but you will be kind and gentle by nature, again think Monty Don, Richard E Grant :)) and will be sorted in your life.
I am happy to make some friends along the way . Meeting up for a coffee and chat face to face early on would be much more preferable to exchanging numerous lengthy emails.
Finally , I have been honest about my age and my photos are from recent years , I would hope yours are too , not all surprises are good !
