About him
I have been very lucky in life and have some great friends, an interesting career and a wonderful daughter. But I'd like to find that 'someone special'.
There are a lot of things I enjoy. A walk in the countryside or a hike in the mountains, mucking about on or by the water, eating out (from a picnic to fine dining), live music (from classical, to rock, to jazz in the park.) Spending time with my daughter.
I'm happy with an evening in the pub, eating out, a good book, the theatre or the cinema. I have been known to spend time sailing, diving, skiing or going a decent hike. I can even be persuaded to go shopping.
There's so much life has to offer and whilst I'm comfortable in my own skin & company, I'm hopeful of finding someone like minded to enjoy it with.
I'm straightfoward and pretty low maintenance, but I don't want to be pigeonholed and I'm up for trying out new things. I'd like to think I was decent, honest and caring. That I can listen as well as talk. That I look for the humour in most things and can enjoy the loud moments as well as the quiet ones.
The soundtrack of my life has been pretty varied. I'm not sure how revealing this is, but as other's have listed their musical preferences, here's a few from my favourite artists playlist: Pat Metheny, Acoustic Alchemy, Dire Straits, Donald Fagen, Elbow, Jason Mraz, Rick Braun, Supertramp, Eagles, Jools Holland, John Mayer, Ronny Jordan, Alan Parsons, Hall & Oates, Chris Botti... and so on. And there's even some classical to even out the mix.

Someone comfortable in their own skin. Who's honest, decent and forthright with 'thought-through' opinions. Who has a sense of humour (and is able to laugh at themselves) and is looking to share the best bits (and the not-so-best bits) of life.
Someone who enjoys variety. Who likes to put on the 'glad rags' for a night out at the theatre or a decent restaurant, but doesn't mind getting wet and muddy from time to time.
Who is happy with a quiet supper in but also enjoys a night out. Who knows their own mind, but keeps it open.
And someone who isn't phased (can't think of a better word) by the fact that my daughter is quite young (she's 9) as she's a blessing that came as a bit of surprise a little later in my life than expected! She lives with her mother but spends every other weekend with me, plus some mid-week time & occasional days. As you'd expect, she's the apple of my eye and rather precious. I'm hoping to find someone who sees this as a positive and something that could be wonderful.
