About her
Where shall I begin? I'm multi-talented in so many areas, it's difficult to summarise - modesty being one of my strongest assets!
I'm articulate, intelligent, with a strong sense of justice, sensitive, non-judgmental and have a witty sense of humour.
My interests include playing tennis, kayaking, horse riding, reading, travelling, dancing, playing and listening to music - all of which I try to do regularly. Incidentally, I have only been stopped once for speeding - and that was when I was on a racehorse!
As part of medical teams, I have travelled to Ethiopia and Ukraine with various charities, looking at health needs and providing basic healthcare. My background is in postgraduate nursing and midwifery and I am working in a children's safeguarding team. These experiences abroad make me realise how lucky we are to have the NHS.
I have 3 adult daughters who all live independently, though we try to get together as much as possible. Recently, we holidayed in Slovenia and had a wonderful time white water rafting, rowing and cycling and we have had cycling holidays in the Loire Valley and Italy, and have even horse riding in Transylvania. But it's always lovely to come home to my house in Ripley and curl up with a good book!
I've reached a stage in my life where I hope to meet someone to share my interests - and hopefully be introduced to some new ones. Let me know if you'd like to meet me.
