About him
Well, how do you condense a lifetime of who you are in a few words? I am a friendly, caring and supportive retired guy involved in various community groups and projects. I am Chair of a local 'Friends of.....' conservation group helping to look after and promote a nature reserve close to where I live, something I find very fulfilling. I have an open and enquiring mind and get on with others well, I am very much a people person and cannot abide injustice, racism or bigotry. Friends and those I meet often remark that I look and act younger than my years....
Am involved in the Plastic Pollution movement. I am a co-ordinator with the Cornish Plastic Pollution Coalition (CPPC). Some of my activities is going to schools in and other events in mainly Cornwall to educate about the problem of single use plastics in the environment and the damage to the environment and wildlife it can cause.
My career before retirement was mostly in the aviation business (operators and manufacturing) in the backroom engineering areas after having spent seven years in the Met Office after leaving college. I have also been a countryside ranger where I gained countryside management qualifications. In my latter years I worked for training companies working with long term unemployed helping them back into work. While working in this sector I qualified to teach adults, something I was rather proud to achieve.
Other interests are the great outdoors, I am a conservationist & environmentalist. I enjoyed going on walks with my dog, who has recently passed, in the various wonderful different types of countryside that Cornwall has to offer, e.g. woodlands, the moors, beaches and the coastline. Music is a passion, I enjoy live music and other entertainment, nothing can be more fun than having an evening watching a band in a pub somewhere. Here to meet someone to share love of life, days out, meeting of minds etc. Just a friend or companion or maybe developing into something more...........

Looking for someone with similar interests we can share but would be nice to share some we don't have in common, differences can help to broaden one's horizons. A lady who enjoys days out /meals/entertainment or is just as happy to stay at home.
