Now 73 (and still enjoying work) I am easy going, friendly, a good conversationalist and my chronological age is incongruent with my vitality and enthusiasm (Gosh! That's a mouthful but accurate!)
Interests:
Singing - both chorus & solo and opera & mainstream classical with local orchestras (including chorus with one of international renown)
Sunshine holidays - especially the Italian Lakes & Morocco (to use my French while getting a suntan!).
I' m a bit of a news junkie & also a sucker for good TV drama.
Travel generally - Only occasionally I still ride my touring motorbike for leisure in the UK & Europe BUT I'm just in the process of purchasing of a small motorhome to take over that role.
Likes: Italian Lakes, the Alps, the Highlands, Victoria Wood, Radio 4, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, a good box set, warmth, away breaks, an occasional bacon butty & a mug of tea - Bliss!
Dislikes: call queues, bureaucracy, pomposity, arrogance, narrow-minded thought, drop down lists that try to pigeonhole you, the culture of celebrity, Facebook, Brexit triumphalism, MAGA politics (and baseball caps), Anti-Vaxxers, motorway lane hogging, oh and split infinitives! (I am a "pussycat" really. This blustering list is intended to amuse!)
I enjoy conversation on most anything but especially current affairs and good TV drama.
In these post Covid times I am up for video calls but also sharing a coffee & cake - well one each!
Current username is based on a limited choice - Most opera heroes are taken! My favourite cameo role - Spalanzani (Tales of Hoffman) is the proud creator of a mechanical doll (Think Coppélia - Broadly the same story). But I am NOT looking to share good times with a robotic AI clone. I seek a woman of both emotional & physical warmth!
P.S. My work makes me acutely conscious of controlling & coercive behaviour - a risk that may worry some. There's no danger of that from me. I probably disadvantage myself sometimes by not sending repeat coaxing messages! Enough said!

A personality that is a good foil for mine. I would guess ultimately an affectionate, tactile person would suit best. However an ambition to collapse in a heap together laughing is the real priority! Somebody who likes good conversation and a hug would be a good start!
I still work at the moment (but with very generous holiday leave) But I am absolutely not prescriptive about how you spend your time so long as you're comfortable with that initial state of affairs which inevitably will change.
