About him
I'm friendly and sociable, like a laugh and most of all enjoy sharing with someone else. I keep in good condition and still play sport, have a wire-haired fox terrier who gets plenty of long walks and I enjoy being outdoors. I have 3 kids, all working and one still living at home. I would love to find someone new to share life with.
As a young man I was into country/outside pursuits - rough shooting (not any longer), farm labouring for pocket money, fishing, sailing and loved playing sport - hockey, cricket and rowing. I'm also a competent skier.
I went to Agricultural College in Devon for 3 years and worked on farms and a golf course for the next couple of years.
I joined the Royal Navy as a Seaman Officer and stayed in for 8 years and in that time spent a year on exchange in Norway driving fast patrol boats (what an experience that was!), a year clearing live mines in the Red Sea and a year and a half on patrol in N Ireland.
Now I am self employed, mostly installing sports facilities and have been since I left the Navy in 1988.
I love nature and animals, and am environmentally conscious of how I live. I am straight forward, honest and reliable, love being challenged and am open to anything new.
As for the photos - profile picture myself and daughter at graduation (boy the site is picky about profile shots - surprised they approved this one!), earliest me in control of the bridge of a Norwegian fast patrol vessel. The rest are me with my kids as these are the only non awful selfie pictures I could find!! 1 when they were young and the rest in the last 2 years.

I would like someone who wants to have fun and share life. Somebody sociable and healthy in mind and body, likes nature and animals and keeps active.
I like to be challenged - confident and dynamic people attract me enormously. I want my friends to be like me, forthright, honest, dependable and kind.
I'm a tactile person and need nothing more than a touch sometimes but a cuddle is an absolute necessity! A tolerance for 'man-space' (big machinery/tech) documentaries and programmes would be helpful too! Above all I want someone who likes a laugh and to have fun! I need to make someone feel good about themselves (this is important) because that makes me feel good about me.
