About her
Definitely a glass half full person who always looks on the upside. I consider myself to be enthusiastic, particularly about being outdoors. This includes motorcycle touring, trekking and planning routes, journeys. I love the sense of freedom walking or biking brings whether with friends or sometimes solo. I enjoy getting friends together for walks, bike rides which always includes a good refreshment stop. I like to look after myself so I can follow my interests and currently jog and do yoga. I'm relaxing into being retired and discovering the joys of being unbusy! I guess I’m more of a lark than an owl, I’ve never been one for late nights and dislike crowded places. If I go to a city it’s for a reason such as an exhibition or event.
Last year I rode to the Arctic Circle on a 3 week tour, no plans made for this year except a trip to the West Highlands and the Armchair Festival in Cornwall.
I've been vegetarian for years but now also eat fish occasionally. If you want to get serious for a moment politically, I’m left of centre, I’ve got a definite soft spot for the underdog.
Having said all that I don’t expect you to have the same interests but maybe have some common themes such as outdoorsy, financially sorted and who is excited about the idea of building a real connection. I've been happily single for some years but now I'm retired my mindset and heartset has shifted and I'd like to share some adventures with someone who is a willing team mate. Someone who is equally enthusiastic about their interests! If you were a biker who enjoyed touring - well that'd be ideal! I like authenticity with a sense of humour for good measure. I'm quite comfortable not to rush a relationship and to give it time to grow. I'd appreciate someone who is genuinely prepared to invest in a relationship but to be honest if they didn't feel it was right for them. I really don't think it'd work if you weren't a physically active type of person and interested in travel.
