About her
I'm not sure how easy it is to describe yourself, but I'll have a go. I'm a caring, fun-loving person who is sociable and friendly - I like to be in harmonious surroundings doing interesting things.
I'm upbeat and positive and always try to make the most of any situation; a good sense of humour and easy-flowing conversation is important to me. I'm active and fairly sporty, play tennis and golf, enjoy walking in the countryside or by the sea and swimming in warm water! Equally, I love to relax and watch good TV, radio, films, music, theatre and books. I'm young at heart and hope to stay that way, sometimes the life and soul of the party but also happy to be quiet and spend time on my own. I love cooking at home and nothing makes me happier than a busy day in the kitchen cooking up a lovely meal for friends and family.
Having enjoyed my busy career as a Lead school nurse I am now happily retired and enjoying having time to do lots of varied fun activities and hobbies. When not in lockdown I volunteer one day a week at a local historic property and have done so for the past six years. I have been fortunate to travel extensively and hope to continue to do so. Art is one of my great pleasures, I belong to a local art class and love going to galleries, particularly when I'm in London.
I have been widowed for a number of years, my son is grown up and lives in London and I have two married brothers who I visit often and enjoy sharing family life with them.
It would be lovely to meet the right person, for us both to enjoy time together - getting out and about with our respective interests and activities, or simply relaxing, laughing and sharing all the good things that life has to offer.
