Hi
I have been single for 3 years and in a way, quite like it but I really miss sharing time, opportunities and experiences with someone. I don't in any way rule out living with someone again but it would have to be very 'right' It may be that space is a good thing at the later stage of life but closeness whenever wanted if all that makes sense
I do event catering work at weekends, mainly in Suffolk ( though not much at the moment ) and look after my 3 grandkids ( 8, 6 &1 ) in the week in Wiltshire so am fairly busy at the moment. Love the kids and it is very rewarding but also very hard work so how long that continues, I don't know but au pairs are very difficult to find at the moment obviously & my daughter and son in law are key workers
I love travelling and had planned to be in Myanmar & Laos at the moment but Covid has put paid to that. I am lucky enough to have travelled a lot and to some very unusual places. I am a backpacker at heart but can be tempted by luxury; however, I think you see so much more of a country if you stay in the real world rather than a hotel room that could be anywhere
I have quite a mixture of likes; I now live in a rented flat and my daughter in an army house so cannot do much DIY which I love. I have owned pubs and bars for over 40 years and have refashioned all of them so have had lots of practice. I have still got an interest in a speakeasy cocktail bar and gin distillery but it is currently closed because it has only one hidden doorway and is quite small so we are only producing gin and takeaway cocktails
I love history in all forms especially going round places but that is so much more enjoyable doing it with someone ( visiting sites in Wiltshire is great but my one year old grandson does not share my enthusiasm )
Love cooking and do more now that I am with the kids in the week; so boring cooking for yourself but also love eating out
Love skiing but haven't been for ages; waiting for the grandkids to go
