About her
Hi. I am looking for a man to share my life with; someone with whom I could share interests and the ups and downs of everyday life. I believe my friends would probably describe me as being honest, loyal, loving, happy, active, optimistic and spontaneous.
I enjoy the normal things in life (good wine, good food, good restaurants, cinema, theatre) but I am also quite an active and energetic person. I play badminton and table tennis regularly and love going on long walks in the countryside. Most weeks I walk with a group in my area, but have also been on several walking holidays abroad; in China, Croatia, Turkey, Slovenia, to mention but a few. Walking gives me a wonderful sense of freedom and a sense of wonder at all the beauty which surrounds us. I have also recently done a bit of sailing and would love the opportunity to do more. I am a good swimmer but would much rather swim in warm Mediterranean countries!
Having retired 4 years ago, I do some voluntary work which includes teaching adults to read. It is very satisfying to give someone the opportunity to widen their horizons through the power of the written word.
Family is very important to me. I have two beautiful daughters and two gorgeous granddaughters who cheer me up endlessly and keep me constantly on my toes.
I am not into noisy nightclubs or huge parties. I like cooking for my friends and meeting in small groups. But, I must admit, my ideal evening consists of a comfortable sofa, a good film, a chilled glass of Prosecco and a lovely partner to cuddle up with.
