About him
Hello. My name is Richard. I am polite, well educated, curious, creative, cultured, articulate, patient, sensitive and reasonably intelligent. I studied Art at University and also play the concert harp (on occasion)(I'm a bit out of practice)). I am also writer and working on a novel (amongst other scribblings). My friend had great success whilst using a dating website by mentioning he was the captain of a rugby team. I too am incredibly sporty, captaining not one but two chess teams (always a lady pleaser that one). Self deprecation aside, I also love football (the Wolves) and test match cricket. I like walks and reading and painting and other such things, especially hanging out with my friends and Nephews. I paint contemporary pieces as well as draw and paint birds. With my siblings I jointly own a house in the Lake district, so like to get up their as much as possible to walk the fells. Despite all the cultured things I enjoy I am as happy in the Working Men's club in Tyseley, playing snooker or chess, or on the football terraces, as I am in a gallery or down the CBSO. I am both down to earth and cultured, but I'm not one to take my self terribly seriously. I also suffer from being a hopeless romantic.
