If you like skiing or building, then we should have lots of common interests !
I'm currently renovating an old barn in a small village in the Tarantaise as my permanent home and then when the snow falls, I like to pack away my tools and get on the slopes whenever the mood takes me.
Happily the building work is drawing to a close and I shall be able to travel much more than I can at presentand I look forward to meeting new people and having new experiences, which are some of the great joys of life.
That said , these wonderful mountains are a superb place to live if you enjoy outdoor pursuits and vast open spaces, but these pleasures are better enjoyed with a partner.
Before deciding that the Tarantaise was a better place to live than S England,I worked in international sales - so lots of travel there - and had spent several years living in Germany and Switzerland.

I like independently-minded people who have confidence in themselves. Attractive, fit and probably more at ease in the outdoors than a club', although enjoying the pleasures of food and wine .
If you enjoy food and wine, then it's good to be able to prepare it yourself as well. I enjoy cooking, so hopefully you do too.
