About her
Trying to paint an accurate portrait of myself in a few lines is somewhat daunting but ... here goes! I'm loyal, understanding, even-tempered and I really enjoy going out with my friends. I consider myself a cheerful person with a good sense of humour. As for the bad bits..... well, I have been known to sing in the shower sometimes but hopefully mostly in tune and so far the neighbours haven't mounted a petition to shut me up! My interests include theatre, cinema, reading, singing in a choir, bridge, travelling, walking and gardening. I worked as a journalist in three European capitals and although I'm now retired I still do the very occasional journalistic assignment. All my photos have been taken over the last three years.

I'm looking for a kind and intelligent man who has a great sense of humour and can make me laugh. An ability to be a good listener would be appreciated. I would see it as a positive if we had some interests in common but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Someone who likes Italy would be a plus as I lived and worked there for many decades and I still have a small flat and garden just outside Rome and enjoy going back there on regular visits.
