About him
I have a lovely group of friends but they have so far not delivered that vital introduction to someone that can join the fun bus as I look towards the future. I have had a great and contented life and my friends would say that I have been successful and, I think, good company. I enjoy golf - not too seriously - and I still enjoy my work. But I have untold flexibility and I am now thinking that my life balance may need to be re-tuned a little more towards travelling and socialising.
I love my kids, who are now forging their own way in life, so there is ample capacity to be doing other things. I enjoy my large garden but that too can be tended by others. I was widowed a couple of years ago after a long and happy marriage but now is the time to look to the future and to move on.

It would be wonderful if I met someone with the same outlook as myself - positive, self effacing and fun loving. I would suspect that she would have had an interesting and secure life and be confident and outward looking. I think that she would probably have her own extensive circle of friends but would welcome new friendships and the opportunity of doing things together.

I have known John for over thirty years. He was my first boss in the commercial world of property that became my career. Before he offered me the job he famously said "we think you may be quite good but not as good as you think you are". I accepted the job, and it changed my life. We became good mates and have stayed in touch all of these years. I too was widowed and I subsequently met my partner on-line and I have encouraged John to give it a go.
He is one of the nicest and most genuine people ever. He has a great sense of humour and we had many good times together whilst our wives were still alive. He remains one of my closest friends. He is loyal, compassionate and discrete and, of course, had (and continues to have) a very successful career. A top man!
