Enthusiastic about life and all it has to offer. Love exploring and discovering new places, new skills, new experiences and new people. Happy to spend money on quality hotels / airbnb or to cycle around France with a tent - its all an adventure. But so much better with a companion.
Keep myself fit and active by cycling, kayaking, swimming (open water in the warmer months ), yoga and walking my bouncy Labrador. Try to get away in my campervan as much as possible.
Recently completed the Great Glen Canoe Trail - the Loch Ness pic is what I look like after 4 night in a damp tent and midge attacks!
I'd like to cycle the Western Front Way this year, would be great to have someone to share that with.
Capable cook, enjoy an evening preparing food with a glass of wine (or two) and chatting.. Happy to eat out though at quality restaurants. Prefer Alchemilla to Sat Bains.
Have been fortunate to be able to travel quite a lot, have worked abroad - always a great adventure..
I'm very practical, always have some serious DIY project on the go, have renovated houses from uninhabitable in the past. But also intellectual , interested in science, technology and current affairs. Favourite author is Robert Harris.
I don't watch very much TV, but enjoy a quality fact based film or informative documentary.
Still an active motorcyclist, have been since 16, just love the feeling of freedom. Cars are so sterile and remote now!
I'm fully retired, after a professional career, so very flexible regarding relationship arrangements.
I'm environmentally aware - if I can cycle somewhere I do, have a minimum-meat diet, volunteer weekly for an heritage / conservation Trust. If you think that's odd - we probably wouldn't be a good match !
I am determined to make the most of this life, I know how fragile and unpredictable it is!
