My friend Finola is the bees knees! We first met ten years ago when I was the new girl at work and she was the database queen! She invited me to the pub and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable; that's the kind of thoughtful person she is. Fatefully we bumped into each other at a music festival and bonded over a shared enthusiasm for Jarvis Cocker! A fabulous friendship forthwith!
Finola has a lovely kind spirit. Few people are as witty and good natured and fewer still make me laugh as much - but she also has an endearing shy side to her which only adds to her charms. We spend quite a bit of time doing silly voices and you could too! Equally you could have good humoured (mostly!) debates about the merits of our political figures. Or databases! Did I mention databases? She's bloody good at them. Luckily she understand that most mere mortals have no clue and she doesn't bang on too much! If you're into databases though...
We have a great time whether we are drinking wine socially distanced on a concrete step, making sandcastles on the beach with her nephews or queuing in the rain for a comedy gig in Edinburgh (she likes the sleeper train!). She is also someone you can talk to and know that she is listening.. what more could you ask for? X
