This isn't a biography, it's not even an M&S biography, it's just my best effort at convincing you that a date sounds like it might at least be a worthwhile, interesting, pleasant & fun way to spend an evening or whatever.
I practise what I preach, give freely, which in my experience is definitely better (read: more rewarding) than receiving, especially when my efforts are well-directed and recognised in kind. I value intimacy in its truest sense - that's literally honest communication, hope that you are of the same view and definitely agree with these quotes:

If you can enrich my life emotionally, culturally, intellectually, socially and maybe even fall in love with me, then that will tick pretty much all of my boxes. Also, I'll know a lot about you by observing the way that you treat someone whom you perceive to be of no possible use to you - always worked for me. And if you can appreciate difference even though sameness may be more comfortable, you're in.
You may not always like it, but what you see is what you get so you'll always know where you stand and you'll find that loyalty and affection are included - no charge, as the old song goes. I do expect reciprocity as a foundation though and always remember that the course of true love never did run smooth, as the old bard said.
I have done a few crazy things in my youth but that's all behind me now (honest) - you know the old biker's saying, "The older I get, the faster I was". I still have my moments though and perhaps you might be the one to relight my fire? You might like to know my idea of what constitutes a real man but if you can read between the lines, you'll probably have a good inkling already.
Oh, and definitely an intelligent, articulate, non-soap-watching, grown-up, consenting adult who thinks nothing of wearing FoaFD.
