About him
Hello. I would describe myself (well I would wouldn't I! ) as an empathic, open and self aware man who works as both a psychotherapist and a social worker. I particularly work within the area of adoption. I am a down to earth, warm, calm and reasonable person and politically I am on the left. I love listening to music and have an eclectic taste. My musical heroes are Paul Weller, John Lennon, Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell. Growing up I was a lover of anything new wave and punk. I love going to gigs, walking in the countryside, sauntering around bookshops and going to the theatre. My guilty pleasure is sitting in Cafe Nero drinking Lattes listening to Jazz'. I enjoy travelling, especially to Ireland where my late parents were from. Galway is my spiritual home. Just beautiful. I also love visiting Berlin, Madrid and Lisbon. And Sicily... Wonderful. Despite my job, I don't take myself too seriously and can be very playful and love to laugh. I am loyal, authentic (can't be any other way now) and clearly full of myself! Always been a bit anti-establishment but in a more sophisticated and sensible way now! I'm fallible like the next person but I strive hard to learn new things about myself from each challenge that confronts me. If I'm that sorted, how come I'm doing this?? I miss being in a relationship and having that special confidant who you look out for. I simply want a meaningful relationship where we remember that we are on the same side and want the best for eachother. Is that a lot to ask?

I am hoping to meet an attractive, kind, emotionally open and trustworthy woman with a good sense of humour. Someone who is not driven by money and if you are right wing, we won't get on!. Someone who is a good listener, who can express their feelings and who accepts people for who they are (unless they are a Tory!) Someone who loves music, books and the arts and who tries hard to understand the story behind a persons actions. I am also a tennis player, so someone who enjoys that would be good as well.
