And now for something refreshingly different.
While having a casual lunch I happened to mention our gardener has twisted his ankle, and will be out of action for at least two weeks, there are 2.5 acres of lawns to be mowed to keep the place looking respectable, do you?
Tack up your trusty steed and head for the hills, returning as supper is being served?
Send his doting wife a large bunch of flowers with a message for him not to rush back, take as much time as he likes and not to worry as you have it all under control. You foresee a serious amount of fine dining and Gastro pubs visits heading your way.
Get straight on to the HR department to have them check his absenteeism record, with a view to maybe replacing him, cannot possibly have the lawns looking a mess.

Answers in an email, it has just struck me that with all you very positive practical ladies living in and around the countryside there will be a proliferation of helpful advice, so I ought to have a tie breaker.

I live in the countryside, country life will always keep you fit and active, I actively support locally produced food (unless it is grown here). I am told I can cook, but doing it for one does not quite hit the spot.
I love flowers so spend time early in the year making sure that the gardens look good,
I am not a TV fan, but have one or two books on the go, a drama film in front of the log wood burner and a glass of wine, supper prepared together, is always lovely.
Life not all Barbour and wellies, a few days away for a top up of culture is a must, love old houses, antiques etc, and rummaging at a car boot or auction to find the that hidden gem that others might have missed.
