Still in employment. My interests are history, ancient history, geopolitics, philosophy and religions. I read a lot and have no TV.
I also like culture such as concerts (classical and opera), quirky museums, old buildings that I visit when I gad about in England which is quite regularly. I occasionally go to Europe but I have been in the UK for such a long time that I do not recognize my own country. I swim and do walks in the countryside. I walk with ramblers and other walking groups.

At this stage as I am still in full time employment though lots of holidays as I work in a school and I still live in London (I do not think I want to retire here though!), I am not looking for a full on relationship 24 hours a day but rather a friend to do stuff together and have a laugh. It does not really matter if you do not live in London, I can travel though I have no car. The man I would like to meet would be someone with some intelligence, intellect and discernment. Someone still physically fit with an equally fit mind and a man with a soul. yes! yes! A soul!
You do not need to share all of my interests and I am not expecting you to, but at least some of them so we can do things together. You will be emotionally self controlled with a modicum of awareness and humility or at least a sense of absurdity. If you can make me laugh which is not that difficult, you will have plenty of granny points.
