About him
My friends describe me as thoughtful and considerate. I'm well travelled and curious about the world, speak several (European) languages and read a lot. I enjoy swimming -- especially sea swimming, cycling and walking in the countryside.
I love going to exhibitions and art galleries, visiting new cities (when it becomes possible again!) and generally getting out and about. I like going to live music -- both classical and opera and modern/rock.
I follow politics, but not as closely as I used to -- it's beginning to bore me. I'm politically and socially liberal and very unhappy about Brexit, but believe that our important cultural ties with Europe will endure.
About his ideal match
I am looking for someone who shares some of the same outlook as me: curious about the world, quite cosmopolitan, maybe speaking another language. They should be considerate, kind and have empathy. I would like someone I could have discussions about books with, and who would share my passion for art and exhibitions (and films -- although I think everyone enjoys the cinema!).
I think a flexible and easygoing relationship would work for me, ie I'm not at this stage looking for a life partner but rather companionship and affection.

Adrian would be the ideal companion to explore the post covid world with as he has a wide range of interests and has a passion for seeking out new experiences, both at home and abroad. His musical tastes range from classical to punk through indie and rock which is unusually wide reaching! As well as a love of books he has a keen interests in the arts and makes a good exhibition companion. By that I mean that he is curious, questioning, interested in the unfamiliar; definitely not someone to get bored after 5 mns and leave you to wander around on your own! He loves the outdoors and lists swimming, cycling and walking amongst his favourite activities but he can also sit, contemplate and share his thoughts, which makes him the perfect companion. I'd describe him as a foodie. I don't think there's a cuisine he doesn't enjoy and he's a good cook.
