About him
I recently relocated to Sheffield. The past couple of years have been full of distractions but now I’ve become more familiar with my new surroundings I’ve started to notice gaps. I miss having friends nearby and I miss having female company.
My interests are wide ranging from most of the arts to current affairs, and from exploring cities I’ve not visited before to rock climbing. I enjoy foreign languages and learning things in general. I also like sitting in cafés, either reading or people watching.
Through choice, I’m not working at the moment. I might decide to retire. I’ve managed to fill my time doing things that I didn’t have the time for when I was working.
For many years I was what is now called a digital nomad. I could work from anywhere and often used to stay in an interesting city for a month or two. One of my favourites was Strasbourg. Now I’m starting to feel settled in my new home town I’m getting itchy feet and like the idea of doing that again.
I'm easy going around people who are easy going. People say I’m very easy to talk to.
I've become quite independant over recent years and I would be apprehensive about going fast into a close relationship. It would be nice to have someone to be close to but I'd need to retain my independence, I think. I like the togetherness of a relationship but I also like solitude and wilderness. I am capable of deep love but I am also protective of myself until trust is there.
My politics have always been green leaning. With the spector of the effects of climate change I try to keep my carbon footprint low.

I find I can get along with different types of people. I like non-judgemental people, with a broad outlook, perhaps even cosmopolitan.
I value kindness very highly.
