About her
I think one of the greatest fortunes in life is to meet a partner with whom one is well matched. This medium offers the potentially wonderful opportunity to ‘meet’ folk we otherwise never would, broadening the scope of this.
I’m lucky enough to have really great friends but someone special would be a welcome addition to a life I am grateful for.
My friends very generously describe me as kind, funny and articulate and a bit irreverent. From time to time they are unafraid to point out any less positive aspects but since they stay true, I’m assuming none of these are a sufficient deterrent to my company.
I like dogs in preference to cats and have loved being involved with my daughter’s mischievous hound.
I’m interested in modern dance, art and antiques and I heartily dislike having to try and represent myself in a way that feels a bit like a sales pitch.
My outlook on life is inspired by a favourite childhood story suggesting we ‘do as we would be done by,’ and I agree that there are few problems that can’t be improved by spending time with a good book.

Kindness is a quality that would characterise my ideal match who would also have a sense of humour that was a little bit wicked. He would be interested and aware of the world and expect to discuss this . His views might be different from mine but that would be seen by him as positive and interesting rather than problematic. A shared interest in books and film would be lovely and a fondness for coast and country walks especially if he has a dog. A travel companion who has a special love for Europe.
