About her
I am looking for a romantic long-term relationship with an interesting, emotionally self-aware man who wants to grasp this third age of life with both hands and squeeze every last drop of purpose and pleasure from it. It would be ideal if we shared some interests, but I am always open to pursuing new ones.
The first thing people usually notice about me is my intellect, closely followed by my legs. I don't suffer fools gladly, but don't judge people by formal qualifications. I love interesting discussions about life, society, economics, philosophy, politics and health.
I completed a PhD in 2023 and I now work part-time as a researcher and self-employed consultant. This allows me to exercise my skills in economics and research and gives me a four-day weekend. I had the misfortune to work for Michael Gove and Dominic Cummings some years ago. When I'm struggling with my research, I think of the unprincipled and talentless crew we have in charge at the moment, and remember that politicians come and go but true love endures...
I am kind, open-minded, supportive and intellectually curious. I enjoy books (fiction and non-fiction); films; theatre; radio; and podcasts. I go to public lectures on interesting topics. I run, walk and cycle for fun and fitness. I am currently having swimming lessons to enable me to master front crawl. I am an atheist and do not enjoy snow or winter sports. I love sunshine and fresh air and am happiest near the sea.
