People think I'm funny - so they tell me. That's the surface anyway. I like learning languages, listening to music, obviously, gardening, designing things, playing with children (grandchildren in my case), walking, exploring the countryside / historic buildings, history generally, botany, foreign travel, cats, singing (mediocre sop 2), intelligent conversation, learning new skills. Skills? I play the castanets a little, I speak German & French - I don't think I'm particularly good at anything else! I'm usually a happy and easy-going person - and looking to find someone who is too!
About her ideal match
Well I'm hoping either for a female friend, or a male friend who might become something more... In either case, shared interests would be helpful, particularly in terms of sharing activities - exploring landscapes and monuments, rambling, going to concerts, the theatre, cinema, dining out sometimes, that sort of thing. An ideal match would be someone with a relaxed attitude to life and a sense of humour, but someone with a serious side too, willing to share joys and triumphs as well as offer support in difficult times. Deal breakers? I think mutual respect is very important, so lack of integrity would be a deal breaker...
